In high-standard architectural projects, windows are not just visual elements—they must stand strong against extreme weather and meet demanding performance benchmarks. We are proud to announce that the Beatus Casement + Fixed Window System (Model C108) has officially passed the AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-17 (NAFS 2017) test, one of the most reputable performance standards for window systems across North America.

This certification positions Beatus products among those that comply with North America's most rigorous standards for window performance, and highlights our readiness to support large-scale projects across North America, Australia, and beyond.

What Is NAFS 2017?

NAFS stands for the North American Fenestration Standard, jointly developed by AAMA, WDMA, and CSA. It provides a unified performance evaluation method for windows, doors, and skylights across the United States and Canada.

The test evaluates a window's ability to withstand:

ree

Wind load resistance

Water penetration resistance

Air leakage resistance

Structural integrity

Ease of operation, forced entry resistance, and more

Passing the NAFS 2017 test means a product has been fully laboratory-tested and proven to meet the strict standards required by building codes and project specifications.

Tested System: Beatus C108 Casement + Fixed Window

Sample Key Specifications:

ree

Product: Casement Window with Fixed Panel

Model: C108

Frame Size: 2400 mm (W) x 1600 mm (H) x 108.4 mm (T)

Operable Sash: 794 mm x 1474 mm

Thermal Break: Model C64, PA66GF25 insulation strip (by Technoform Bautec Suzhou)

Glazing: Triple-glazed structure with Low-E layers

Hardware: Imported from GIESSE, Italy

The window system was not weathered or conditioned prior to testing, and still delivered strong performance across all NAFS test items.

Partial Test Results

ree

The Beatus C108 Window System has successfully passed all NAFS-2017 performance tests, demonstrating excellent results in key areas:

Air Leakage: Minimal air leakage, ensuring energy efficiency and comfort.

Water Penetration Resistance: High resistance to water infiltration, protecting against leaks and damage.

Structural Integrity: Strong and durable, withstanding extreme weather conditions.

Operating Force: Requires minimal force to operate, ensuring ease of use and accessibility.

Overall, it meets the highest standards for performance and reliability.

1. Operating Force Test (Casement Part)

Verdict

≥ 510 Pa

720 Pa

No water penetration observed

Pass ✅

Comment:

The unit exceeded the standard requirement by withstanding a pressure of 720 Pa without any water penetration. This confirms high resistance against wind-driven rain and harsh weather conditions.

4. Uniform Load Deflection Test at Design Pressure
